Paul Trepte

Paul Trepte (b. 1954) is an English cathedral organist, who served in St Edmundsbury Cathedral and is at Ely Cathedral[1]

Background

Paul Trepte was born on 24 April 1954 in Morley, Yorkshire. He studied the organ with Donald Hunt and Nicholas Danby and composition with Herbert Howells.

He became organ scholar at New College, Oxford in 1972.

He was appointed Assistant Organist at Worcester Cathedral in 1976

At St. Edmundsbury Cathedral he reinstated an all-male singing environment.
