Paul John Slater (born 1958) is an Anglican priest and the current Archdeacon of Richmond and Craven.

He was educated at Christ Church College, Oxford (M.A. 1983) and at St John's College, Durham (B.A. 1983), then studied for ordination at Cranmer Hall, Durham (1984).[1] He was ordained in the Anglican ministry as a deacon in 1984 and a priest in 1985.[1] His pastoral appointment was a curate at St. Andrews's, Keighley, in the Diocese of Bradford, 1984–88, followed by the Priest in charge of St John the Evangelist, Cullingworth and Director of the Diocesan Foundation Course, 1988–93.[1] He then became the Bishop of Bradford's Personal Executive Assistant, 1993–95 and Warden of Readers, 1992–96.[1] He served as the Rector of St. Michael and All Angels Church, Haworth, 1985–2001, and then the Bishop's Officer for Ministry and Mission, 2001–05.[1] He was appointed the Archdeacon of Craven in 2005[1] and the acting Archdeacon of Richmond in 2 February 2014,[2] before becoming the Archdeacon of Richmond and Craven when the two posts were merged on 20 April 2014.[3] His residence is Kadugli House, Keighley.[4]
