Paul Oxley
Paul Oxley is an English songwriter/lyricist/producer living in Helsinki, Finland. He is well known as the lead singer/songwriter of Anglo/Finnish band Paul Oxley's Unit, who have just celebrated their 30th anniversary with the release of a DVD edition of their first album Living in the Western World with Sony Music. The album went platinum in Finland and spent a record 17 weeks at the number-one spot. Oxley's songs "Terry's Inside" and "Spanish Bars" are both included in the top 100 songs of all time in Finland. The band have released seven albums.
Oxley is now a very active songwriter and now works with top writers and producers in Scandinavia. As well as writing hits for several Finnish artists over the last few years, he has recently had cuts with international platinum selling artists including a No1/platinum single in Japan with Kat Tun. Paul has had three previous entries in the Eurovision song contest and co-wrote the song, "Cider Hill" for Nina Lassander, which came second in the 2010 Finnish final. He also co-wrote the 2012 entry for Jessica Wolff, "Better". He works from his studio in Helsinki.
