Patrick Anthony Sweeney was a member of the Ohio Senate from 1997 to 1998, and a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1967 to 1997. He was appointed in January 1997 to fill the vacancy caused by Dennis Kucinich, who was elected to Congress. However, in 1998 he opted to not run for his Senate Seat, and was succeeded by Dan Brady in 1999.[1]
Sweeney holds a masters degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and works at Cleveland State University.[2]
