Patrick Holohan (born May 3, 1988), is an Irish mixed martial artist who competes in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. A professional MMA competitor since 2007, Holohan has also competed for the promotion Cage Contender and was a competitor on The Ultimate Fighter 18.[2]

Ultimate Fighting Championship

After a successful career in Ireland, it was revealed in August 2013, that Holohan was selected to be a participant on TUF 18.[3] He faced a big prospect in Josh Hill for his fight to get in the house. Holohan was taken down and wrestled for the entire time and ended up losing by decision.[4]

Holohan made his UFC debut against Josh Sampo on June 19, 2014, at UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Brandao in Dublin, Ireland.[5] He won the fight via a rear-naked choke submission in the first round.[6]

Holohan was scheduled to face Louis Gaudinot, at UFC Fight Night: MacDonald vs. Saffiedine,[7] but instead fought Canadian newcomer Chris Kelades, the replacement for Gaudinot after he pulled out of the bout due to injury.[8] Holohan lost the fight via unanimous decision.[9] The fight earned the Fight of the Night bonus.[10]

Holohan faced Shane Howell on January 18, 2015, at UFC Fight Night 59.[11] Holohan won the fight via unanimous decision.[12]
