Patella caerulea, common name the rayed Mediterranean limpet[1] is a species of sea snail, a true limpet, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Patellidae, one of the families of true limpets.[2]
Description

Distribution
P. caerulea is endemic to the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.[3]
'P. coerulea' has recently been identified off the Cornish coast in the British Channel. Due to the rise of coastal temperatures, distribution is becoming more widespread.[4]
