Paru Urqu (Quechua paru brownish, grey-brown, urqu mountain,[2][3] hispanicized spelling Parorjo) is a mountain in the Urupampa mountain range in the Andes of Peru. It is situated in the Cusco Region, Calca Province, Lares District. Its summit is 4,891 metres (16,047 ft) above sea level. Paru Urqu is situated at the Lares trek, north of the mountains Ch'iqun and Siriwani and west of the mountain Puka Urqu[4] ("red mountain"). One of the nearest populated places is Kiswarani (Quishuarani). There is a small lake at its feet named Paruqucha (Parococha).
