Parsonsia straminea (Common Silkpod, Monkey Rope) is a woody vine of the dogbane family, Apocynaceae.[1][2] It occurs in the states of New South Wales and Queensland in Australia.[2]
The species climbs by twining, aided by its adventitious roots.[2] The adult leaves are leathery and yellowish green in colour.[2] Pale yellow flowers are produced in panicles throughout the year. These are followed by slender pods which are 10 to 20 cm in length.[2]
