Parrish Yaw
Parrish Yaw is a keyboardist from Sparta, Tennessee who played with the American rock group The Features from 1994 through 2006.
Parrish Yaw went to middle school with the people who would later join to form The Features and was good friends with Don Sergio, but didn't actually join the band until college, when Sergio brought him on to play keyboards during some of their early shows.
Although his influence is less prevalent on their self-titled EP in 1997, all subsequent releases would feature his distinctive mix of classic synthesizers, including a Moog, Fender Rhodes and Farfisa . His clear, retro organ sound became one of the band's most distinctive trademarks and his frantic, alternatingly simple and complex playing style became a popular part of their stage shows.
Yaw continued to play with the band until 2006, when he left in the fallout of their drop by Universal Records.
