Parli (Vidhan Sabha constituency)

Parli Vidhan Sabha constituency (Marathi: परळी विधान सभा मतदारसंघ) is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra state in western India.[1] This constituency came into existence in 2008, following the implementation of the delimitation of the legislative assembly constituencies. This constituency covers part of the erstwhile Renapur constituency abolished in 2008.

Overview

Parli (constituency number 233) is one of the six Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in the Beed district. It covers the entire Parli tehsil and part of Ambajogai tehsil of this district.[2] The number of electors in 2009 was 254,178 (male 133,886, female 120,292).[3]

Parli is part of the Beed Lok Sabha constituency along with all other Vidhan Sabha segments in this district, namely Georai, Majalgaon, Beed, Ashti and Kaij.[4]
