The series premiered on September 7, 2011, on Syfy. It is also shown on Really and Watch in the United Kingdom.
Ranked as one of the top 10 new original series, Paranormal Witness was renewed for a second season set to premiere in August 2012 with 12 new episodes.[1]

Syfy did not make an announcement about the series renewal after its third season finale but there are several official websites that state the series fourth season is currently being filmed.[3][4]
