Idolatry Prohibtion

Parasnath Avtar is a composition, within Rudra Avtar, written by Guru Gobind Singh, which is present in Dasam Granth. There are 358 Channds.[1] The composition is about life history of Parasnath and his discourse with Matsyendranath. The composition is succeeded with Sabad Patshahi 10. Unlike, Chandi Charitar and Krishna Avtar, The source of narration of Parasnath Avtar are not any of 36 Puranas.[2]

Internal Struggle

This composition contains internal contest between Bibek(or discernment) and Abibek (or ignorance), which explains warriors of Dharma and Adharma.[3] All vices and virtues are shown in form of warriors which fights in battlefield.

CHHAPAI
Avivek has black colour, black chariot and black horses;
his garments are black also; seeing him, all the men and women around;
His charioteer is also black, whose garments are also black; his chariot is also darkness;
his bow and banner are all black and he considers himself a superb and superior peroson;
O king ! this is the pretty appearance of Avivek with which he has conquered the world;
he is unconquerable and consider him as the likeness of Krishna.169.

ਅਸਿਤ ਬਰਣ ਅਬਿਬੇਕ ਅਸਿਤ ਬਾਜੀ ਰਥ ਸੋਭਤ ॥
ਅਸਿਤ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਹ ਅੰਗ ਨਿਰਖ ਨਾਰੀ ਨਰ ਲੋਭਤ ॥
ਅਸਿਤ ਸਾਰਥੀ ਅਗ੍ਰ ਅਸਿਤ ਆਭਰਣ ਰਥੋ ਤਮ ॥
ਅਸਿਤ ਧਨਖ ਕਰ ਅਸਿਤ ਧੁਜਾ ਜਾਨਕ ਪੁਰਖੋਤਮ ॥
ਇਹ ਛਬ ਨਰੇਸ਼ ਅਬਿਬੇਕ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਜਗਤ ਜਯੰ ਕਰ ਮਾਨੀਯੈ ॥
ਅਨ ਜਿੱਤ ਜਾਸ ਕਹ ਨਾ ਤਜੋ ਕਿਸ਼ਨ ਰੂਪ ਤਿਹ ਜਾਨੀਯੈ ॥੧੬੯॥
छपय ॥
असित बरण अबिबेक असित बाजी रथ सोभत ॥
असित बसत्र तिह अंग निरख नारी नर लोभत ॥
असित सारथी अग्र असित आभरण रथो तम ॥
असित धनख कर असित धुजा जानक पुरखोतम ॥
इह छब नरेश अबिबेक न्रिप जगत जयं कर मानीयै ॥
अन जि्त जास कह ना तजो किशन रूप तिह जानीयै ॥१६९॥
