Paragehyra is a genus of lizards in the family Gekkonidae (geckos). The genus is endemic to Madagascar.
Species
The genus Paragehyra contains two species.
- Paragehyra gabriellae Raxworthy & Nussbaum, 1994
- Paragehyra petiti Angel, 1929 – Angel's petite gecko
Etymology
The specific name, gabriellae, is in honor of Malagasy herpetologist Gabriellà Raharimanana.[1]
The specific name, petiti, is in honor of French ornithologist Louis Petit, fils (1856-1943).[1]
