The Parachutes Tour was a concert tour by British alternative rock band Coldplay. The tour was in support of the band's debut album, Parachutes. The tour mostly visited small venues and clubs.[1]
The spinning globe light, from the cover of Parachutes, used to sit on Chris Martin's piano during gigs on this tour. It was a last minute suggestion to use it for the cover, as the band were struggling to come up with ideas.[2] For this tour, Lowgold acted as the support act.
After the tour, the band released a single named "Trouble", with Chris Martin saying that "The song is about behaving badly towards somebody you really love".[3]
During the tour, Coldplay performed at VH1's Talk Music area before the tour's final gig.
