The Paraíba Valley (Portuguese: Vale do Paraíba) is located in the eastern part of the state of São Paulo along the Presidente Dutra Highway (BR-101), between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

The region forms the hydrographical basin of Paraíba do Sul River, that flows eastwards down to Rio de Janeiro.

This region includes a highly developed industrial park and the space station. The largest cities in the valley are São José dos Campos, Taubaté, Jacareí, Lorena, Pindamonhangaba, Caçapava, Cruzeiro and Guaratinguetá.
