Paqtsarahu (Ancash Quechua paqtsa waterfall, rahu snow mountain,[2][3] "waterfall snow peak", also spelled Paccharaju, Paqtsaraju), also known as Rukutuyuq or Ruqutuyuq (Quechua rukutu, ruqutu a plant (Capsicum pubescens), -yuq a suffix to indicate ownership,[4][5] "the one with the rukutu", also spelled Rocotuyo (a broken name)) is a 5,749 m (18,862 ft) high mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Asunción Province, Chacas District, and in the Carhuaz Province, Marcará District. Paqtsarahu lies in the Huascarán National Park, southwest of Tarush Kancha.[6][7]

Rukutuyuq (Rocotuyoc) is also the name of the lake at 9°16′53″S 77°27′12″W / 9.28139°S 77.45333°W and the name of a viewpoint in the Paqtsaruri valley southwest of the mountain.[6][8]
