Pantacles of Athens
Pantacles of Athens was an ancient Greek athlete listed by Eusebius of Caesarea as two times victor in the stadion race of the 21st Olympiad (696 BC) and the 22nd Olympiad (692 BC). In 692 BC he also won the diaulos. He was the first winner from Athens and the first runner in history to defend his title four years after his first victory.[1]
