Palliser, British Columbia

Palliser is an abandoned townsite beside the Kicking Horse River between Field and Golden in British Columbia.

There is nothing really there now (but it is still marked on some maps,[1][2] and may be of some historic significance).

The town was named after John Palliser, who led the 1863 Palliser Expedition.

The 1911 Census of Canada[3] lists 8 people living in Palliser.
