The Palace of Justice (Albanian: Pallati i Drejtësisë) in Pristina will be the seat of most of the courts of the Republic of Kosovo[lower-alpha 1].[1] It is located in the capital city of Kosovo, Pristina. Its construction began on 23 June 2011 and continued into 2014.[1][2][3] The Palace of Justice is a project co-funded by the European Union and the government of Kosovo[3] at an approximate cost of €30 million.[1][3]

  1. Kosovo is the subject of a territorial dispute between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Kosovo. The latter declared independence on 17 February 2008, but Serbia continues to claim it as part of its own sovereign territory. Kosovo's independence has been recognised by 108 out of 193 United Nations member states.
