Padutha Theeyaga

Padutha Theeyaga is a reality-based Indian singing competition in Telugu language that airs on Etv Telugu. The program seeks to discover the best singing talent in Andhra Pradesh through a series of statewide auditions. The show is sponsored by the Colgate and Ujala Techno Bright.

This is the First Music Based Reality Show in South India. The show is hosted by the Most popular Indian Playback singer PadmaBhushan Dr. S. P. Balasubrahmanyam who hails from Andhra Pradesh, South India. He has sung songs in most of the Indian languages and a recipient of National award for 6 times. He was honored with Padmasri in 2001 and PadmaBhushan in 2011 by the Indian Government for his contributions.

The show usually airs on Monday night at 9:30 PM in India and is telecast worldwide through partner broadcasting networks.

The program was first started in 90s and it gave a platform for lot of singers like Mallikarjuna, Usha, Parthasaradhi, Sandip, Karunya, Hemachandra, Gopika Poornima, Kousalya, Venu, Geetha Madhuri etc......

Several Prominent personalities in Industry have appeared in this program. Series 1 was for the adult contestants. Rajesh Kumar from anathapur and Lipsika from Khammam shared the first two places.Finals was judged by Sri.S.P.Balasubramanyam and guest judge was Devi Sri Prasad. Megastar Chiranjeevi made a special appearance in the finals and gave prizes to the contestants. Finals was conducted in Visakhapatnam. Winner Rajesh kumar won Cash prize of Rs.10,00,000 and runner Lipsika won Rs.5,00,000.Prize money was sponsored by Suvarna Bhoomi. Grand finals was completed on October 18, 2010.

Series 2 was for the junior contestants. Anjani Nikhila, Ganesh Revanth, Lakshmi Meghana and Raghavendra were the final contestants. Lakshmi Meghana was the winner and Anjani Nikhila was the ruuner with very small difference in marks. Finals was judged by Sri .S.P.Balasubramanyam and guest judge was Smt.Vani Jayaram. Finals of this program was conducted in Guntur.Winner Lakshmi Meghana won cash prize of Rs.3,00,000 and runner Anjani Nikhila won Rs.1,00,000.Prize money sponsored by Etv. Ganesh revanth who was in third place won Rs.50,000 and SP Balu gave him Rs.25,000 for his excellent talent. Raghavendra who was in fourth place won Rs.50,000. Grand Finals was completed on April 25, 2011.

The 3rd Series also completed this is sponsored by EXO dishwash.in this session Sairamya got first prize., Damini got second prize., and Sarathchandra kalahasti and Nuthana got equal marks and the two were equally given third place.

Series 4 was also for the adult contestants. Ivaturi Harini, Nandibhatla Tejaswini, Rohit and SaiCharan were the finalists and these contestants stood in the first, second and the third places respectively and the third place is shared by Rohit and SaiCharan respectively.

Series 5 had Sharath Santosh, Surya Karthik, Praveen kumar and Charumathi Pallavi as the finalists. Out of them Praveen was first followed by Pallavi, Sharath and Karthik. The season 5 finale had the great drummer Shivamani as the chief guest. Even this season was for adults.

Series 6 had kids of age 6-15.The winner was Parameshwara Rao.

Series 7 was held at USA. The winner was Arjun Addepalli.

Series 8 has kids of age 9-14. All the children are singing very well.

Series 9 was also in USA, and was for aged 8-13. All participants were females. The children are singing very well and the contestants so far still in competition are Nithya Parasuramani, Shreya Gorthi, Ananya Penugonda, Neha darmapuram, Megana Pothukuchi, Lasya ravulapati, Vishnupriya Kotthamasu, Sumedha Vidavalapati, Nikita Paathapati, Sneha Mokkaala The winner is yet to be decided
