The Pacific sand sole, Psettichthys melanostictus, is the only fish in the genus Psettichthys of the Pleuronectidae family. It is a flatfish and inhabits northeastern Pacific waters where it lives on sandy bottoms at depths of 1–325 m (3.3–1,066.3 ft).[1] It feeds on other fish, worms, crustaceans and molluscs. It reaches a length of 63 cm (25 in).[1]
