Pacific Coast Feather Company is a Seattle-based manufacturer of basic bedding including pillows, comforters, sheets, and feather beds. It is the largest producer of utility bedding in the US and the fifth largest home textile supplier in the US. .[1]
Owned by the Hanauer family since 1924, Nick Hanauer (fourth generation) is now chairman and CEO of the company.[2] President and nonrelative Joe Crawford runs the day-to-day operations.
The company sells its products under the Pacific Coast Feather, Down Around, BestFit!, EuroRest, and Dockers brand names to major department store chains nationwide.[3] Additionally, the PCF name itself is licensed across a wide range of brands including Cannon, Eddie Bauer and Sealy.
In 2007, estimated profits for Pacific Coast Feather Company were $352 million, a 2% increase from the previous year. The company also opened three international sales offices extending into India, China and Asia-Pacific territories. The company currently operates direct sourcing abroad and maintains eight manufacturing plants in North America.[4]
