PNS Hurmat (S136) is the Hashmat class submarine of Pakistan Navy, commissioned on 18 February 1980.[1] Hurmat is basically Agosta 70 submarine built by France initially for South African Navy but was not delivered because of sanctions imposed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 418. Later it was sold to Pakistan along with PNS Hashmat.
