PESITM - Shimoga was established in the year 2006 under the inspiring leadership of Dr. M.R. Doraiswamy who is the Chairman of the premier PES Group of Institutions. Continuing the successful legacy set by the front running institution of PES in Bangalore, PESITM – Shimoga has been groomed by the efficient value system derived through rich experience in the education sector of the intellectuals within the PES Group. PESITM – Shimoga has grown from strength to strength within a very short duration is currently offering a multitude of courses in Diploma, Under Graduate and Post Graduate degrees in Science, Commerce, Engineering and Management.^[3]

Recent Activities

'Android Hackathon' workshop conducted from 13th - 15th February 2015.
Department of Computer Science & Engineering, PESITM conducted International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies (ICICT-2014) on 5 and 6 May 2014. ^[6]
PESITM conducted Annual Cultural Fest Prerana - 2014 in the month of April, 2014 ^[7]
Google Android app development workshop was conducted by Dept. of Computer Science in association with Google Development Group (GDG) of Mangalore 14 and 15 March 2014.^[8]
A two-day WorkShop on "Getting started with Unity3D for Windows 8″ was conducted at PESITM College on 16 and 17 March by "Student Nokia Developers Group of PESITM".^[9]
PESITM in association with Microsoft conducted 24-hour App Fest Hackaton on 29 and 30 September 2013. ^[10]
Department of CSE conducted 3 day Mobile Innovation Workshop in association with Nokia. ^[11]
