Pănet (Hungarian: Mezőpanit, Hungarian pronunciation: [mɛzøːpɒnit]) is a commune in Mureş County, Romania composed of five villages:
- Berghia / Mezőbergenye
- Cuieşd / Székelykövesd
- Hărţău / Harcó
- Pănet
- Sântioana de Mureş / Csittszentiván
Demographics
The commune has an absolute Székely Hungarian majority. According to the 2002 Census, it has a population of 5,994, of which 81.13% or 4,863 are Hungarian.
