Pétanque World Championships
Pétanque World Championships is a biennial pétanque international competition organized by the International Federation of Petanque and Provencal game. The first edition was organized in 1959. The best countries in term of medals are France, Thailand, Spain and Belgium (respectively 42, 10, 8 and 7 gold medals won in competitions from 1959).[1] The 2012 championships were hosted in Marseille in 2014 it took place in Tahiti.
