Oxytelinae Fleming 1821 are a subfamily of Staphylinidae.[1]
Anatomy
- Unique pair of defensive glands opening onto the ninth tergum.
- Most with 7 complete sterna visible.
- Tarsi 2-2-2, 3-3-3, 4-4-4, 5-5-5.

Ecology
- Habitat: generally found in moist places: moss along streams, leaf litter, beaches, etc.
- Collection Method: sift/Berlese forest litter.
- Biology: poorly known.
