Ovcha kupel

Coordinates: 42°40′59″N 23°14′35″E / 42.68306°N 23.24306°E / 42.68306; 23.24306 Ovcha Kupel (Bulgarian: Овча Купел) is a district^[1] located in the south-western parts of Sofia. As of 2006 it has 47,380 inhabitants. It is located at 6 km to the south-west of the City centre.

The district is home of Slavia Sofia, one of the oldest football clubs in the country with a 30,000 stadium. The New Bulgarian University with more than 7,000 students is situated there. There are 9 schools and 5 chitalishta.
