Our Little Sister is an upcoming Japanese film directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, starring Haruka Ayase, Masami Nagasawa, Kaho and Suzu Hirose. Its Japanese title is 海街diary, transliterated as Umimachi Diary, which means "seaside town diary". It tells the story of three sister in their 20s who live together in Kamakura, and are joined by their 14-year-old half sister after their father dies. The film is based on the comics series Umimachi Diary by Akimi Yoshida.[1] It has been selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.[2]

Production
The film was produced by Fuji Television, Shogakukan, Toho and Gaga Corporation.[3] Filming began in July 2014.[4]
Release
The Japanese release is set to 13 June 2015.[5]
