Ottumwa Community School District is a public school district serving Ottumwa, Iowa.

History

In the 1950s, the smaller Dahlonega school district was absorbed into the Ottumwa school district.[2] (Dahlonega School No. 1 was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.)

2013 South Side Reorganization

Construction began on the cities newest elementary school in 2012, in 2013, Liberty Elementary opened to serve all south side students from grades 2-5. As part of the reorganization plan, Agassiz, Pickwick, and Wildwood will close to students, and Douma will be remodeled to serve all south side students grades k-1
