The Ottawa Jr. Senators are a junior-age men's ice hockey team from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Their home arena is the Jim Durrell Recreation Centre in south Ottawa. The club is in the Robinson Division of the Central Canada Hockey League, a Junior "A" league. The team is not affiliated with the NHL Ottawa Senators.

History

The Senators joined the Central Junior A Hockey League in 1979. In 1992, the team added "Junior" to become the Junior Senators or Ottawa Junior "A" Senators (OJS) to prevent confusion with the Ottawa Senators - expansion team in the NHL in 1992-93. One of their most successful seasons came in 2001-02, when the Junior Senators defeated the top-ranked Cornwall Colts 4 games to 1. Ottawa went on to appear in the Royal Bank Cup when the Halifax Oland Exports were hosting the event.

Ottawa has appeared in the playoffs several times since their 2002-03 championship season, but have only advanced to the Semi Finals twice since – in 2009 and 2010.

The Junior Senators have gone on to develop several collegiate players throughout the years, many of whom have gone on to accept NCAA and ECAA (Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association) scholarships and several more who have chosen to continue their hockey careers with Major Junior teams. From the 2011–12 team the following graduating players will be moving on to pursue their academic/hockey careers:
