The Othello Station is a Sound Transit Central Link station in the Rainier Valley area of Seattle. It opened on July 18, 2009, and 1,400 daily boardings are expected by the year 2020.

Location

The station is open-air and located in the center of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South between South Myrtle and South Othello streets. It has side platforms and includes plazas at the Northeast corners of Othello and Myrtle streets.[1] The newly opened Othello cultural market is across the street on the northeast corner of Othello and Martin Luther King.

Other Transit

There are bus stops located on Martin Luther King Jr. Way South on either side of the station. The bus stops are served by King County Metro routes 8, 36, and 50. This is the southern terminus of both route 36 and 50.

Route 8 duplicates Central Link's route from Rainier Beach Station to Mount Baker Station, but has significantly more stops, providing a local infill service.
