Oscar Albarado

Oscar Albarado (born September 15, 1948 in Pecos, Texas) is an American retired boxer. He competed in the light middleweight division.

Professional career

Known as "Shotgun", Albarado turned pro in 1967 and captured the World, WBC, and WBA light middleweight title when he upset Koichi Wajima by KO in 1974. He defended the belt once before losing it in a rematch to Wajima in 1968 by decision. He retired after the loss.

Comeback

Albarado launched an unsuccessful comeback 5 years later, retiring in 1982 after several losses.
