Orosh is a municipality in the Mirditë District, Lezhë County, northwestern Albania.[1] The population at the 2011 census was 1,899.[2] The seat of the municipality is the town of Reps. The former Orosh Abbey was located in the municipality. Terenzio Tocci gathered the Mirdite chieftains on April 26, 1911 in Orosh, proclaimed the independence of Albania, raised the flag of Albania and established the provisional government.[3]
