Original Starbucks

The Original Starbucks is the common name for the first Starbucks store, established in 1971 at a different location and later moved to Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle, Washington, United States. The store has kept its original appearance over time and is subject to design guidelines due to its historic significance.[1] The store is considered a tourist attraction and often hosts a crowd.[2][3]

While commonly referred to as the first Starbucks, the Pike Place Market store is actually the second location of the original Starbucks. The first Starbucks cafe was located at 2000 Western Avenue from 1971–1976. This cafe was later moved to 1912 Pike Place Market; never to be relocated again.[4]
