Optimove, one of the only successful bootstrapped software startups in Tel Aviv, Israel[1] develops and markets a customer retention automation platform. The software, which leverages customer modeling, predictive micro-segmentation and campaign optimization technologies,[2] helps marketers at Internet businesses maximize the value of every customer by helping the marketers convert more leads, increase customer spend/engagement, reduce churn and win back more lost customers.[3]

The Optimove Software

Optimove is a SaaS application that implements a systematic approach to running, measuring and optimizing customer marketing campaigns. Marketers and retention experts use Optimove to maximize the lifetime value of every customer by consistently achieving the best match between every campaign and every customer.[4]

Optimove enhances the marketing and retention efforts of online businesses by carefully modeling each customer and predicting which marketing campaigns will be perfect for the individual.[5]

The software is based on a combination of technologies, including unique customer lifetime value forecasting, predictive behavior modeling and dynamic micro-segmentation. On top of this technology layer, the application provides a calendar-based marketing management tool to help users track and optimize campaigns.[6] Every campaign becomes a measurable marketing experiment[7] which feeds the software's self-learning recommendation engine.

"Optimove's software leverages micro-segmentation technology to help businesses identify which action or marketing campaign will have the largest conversion impact on a user at a particular point in time."[5] Armed with this insight, marketers achieve true personalized marketing, resulting in campaigns that convert more customers, increase spending and reduce customer attrition, or churn.

The Optimove product doesn't actually collect or use any customer-identifying demographic data, which eases privacy concerns.[8]

History

Optimove (initially named Mobius Solutions) was founded in 2009 and released the first version of its software (initially named Customer Value Maximizer) in 2010.[9] Optimove is one of the only successful bootstrapped software startups in Tel Aviv (i.e., launched and grown with no outside financial investment).[1] The company tripled revenue and doubled staff to 30 employees between 2012 and 2013.[1]

The company has dozens of Internet businesses as customers,[9] including BetAmerica,[8] Caesars, 888,[2] Bwin.Party, eToro, Conduit, GetTaxi[3] and Foxy Bingo,[10] a website owned and operated by Cashcade. Optimove partners include Internet gaming platform provider iSoftBet[11] and digital marketing technology provider Silverpop.[12]
