The Optare MetroCity is a midibus designed for London by bus manufacturer Optare. It is currently in production, a prototype was delivered to London operator London United.
In October 2013 it was announced that Quality Line has placed an order for 12 of Optare’s innovative MetroCity urban bus for delivery early in 2014.[1]
In May 2014, Optare unveiled a double-deck version of the MetroCity, known as the Optare MetroDecker.
An electric version is available, named "MetroCity EV", utilising a 150kW Magtec motor. Two are currently in service with Arriva London.
