Opiki

Opiki is a small rural settlement in the Horowhenua district of New Zealand's North Island. It is located on the floodplain of the Manawatu River, 15 km (9 mi) southwest of Palmerston North. Its population (2013) is 522.[1]

Opiki is one of the leading potato exporters in the lower North Island. It has a school Opiki School about 100 kids. The mayor of Opiki is Kevin Free
