Ophiocara is a genus of sleeper gobies native to tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean and in fresh waters along the coast of Madagascar.

There are currently two recognized species in this genus:[1]
- Ophiocara macrolepidota (Bloch, 1792)
- Ophiocara porocephala (Valenciennes, 1837) (Northern mud gudgeon)
