One Million Random Acts of Kindness Campaign

The One Million Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Campaign was launched on BBC on 16 July 2008 by 4000 Saturdays.

Background

The Campaign encourages people to carrying out a Random Act of Kindess and pass on a RAK Card to the recipient who is then instructed to pass forward their own act of kindness to someone else. RAK cards are printed from the Campaign web site.

The campaign is the brainchild of British social entrepreneur Mark Desvaux.

School Project

A specific schools RAK project is being launched in November 2012 which allows school children to follow their RAK around the world online.
