Oncosperma fasciculatum is a species of flowering plant in the Arecaceae family. It is found only in Sri Lanka. It is threatened by habitat loss.

In culture

Known as "ක‍ටු කිතුල් - Katu kitul" in Sinhala.

Leaves

pinnate; leaflets 12-18 clustered, lanceolate, pointed, drooping apex, scaly beneath; rachis spiny toward base.

Trunk

base thickened, abundantly spined, black.

FLowers

Inflorescence- spadix without spines, very stout, drooping; spathes sparsely scaly, without spines.

Fruits

black to purple, globose drupes.

Site

exposed, steep, rocky areas of low country, up country lowlands and wet zones of Sri Lanka.
