Background and release
On January 9, VIXX released a teaser video for their third single album On and On.[2] A second teaser video was released on January 14.[3]
On January 16, it had been announced that VIXX would release a new set of album jacket photos instead of their original photos as the original pictures were deemed too grotesque.
Jellyfish Entertainment stated, "There have been many responses that 'On and On's album jacket is bizarre and creepy. Thus, the album jacket photos that have already been completed will be discarded, and we will release a new album jacket. Because we respect the fans' opinions, we decided to discard the previous album jacket photos and start over. Although there is limited time, we will produce modern and high quality jacket photos to upgrade the overall quality of the album."[4]
The third single album, I'm Ready To Get Hurt (On and On) was released on January 17.[5]

The group started promoting on January 17 and they had their debut stage on Mnet's M! Countdown. They followed that will subsequent stages on various music programs including KBS's Music Bank, MBC's Show! Music Core, SBS's Inkigayo and MBC Music's Show Champion.

Music video
The music video was released on January 17 and tells a story of a man who can't help but love a woman who continues to hurt him. It was directed by Song Won Young.[1]
Due to its similarities to the film A Werewolf Boy, some viewers, after watching the music video for "On and On", accused VIXX and Jellyfish of plagiarism. In addition to the similarities in the storyline, certain scenes, characters, and the overall atmosphere of the MV were thought to show resemblances to the film. For example, the VIXX’s members wore colored lenses that looked similar to the lenses worn by Song Joong-ki in A Werewolf Boy. In addition, the female lead in the MV had long hair and wore a pure white dress that looked similar to the one worn by Park Bo-young in the film.[6]
