Om Birla

Om Birla was born on 4 December 1962. He is a current MP of Lok Sabha in 2014 from Kota city of Rajasthan in India. former MLA from Kota. He is a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party.[1] He has been a leader since very early age of his life. He was President of student associations in school and college and was recognised as a vibrant youth leader. He has organized several movements and agitations during his student life for students and public welfare; especially for student employment. His mother name was Late Smt Shakuntla Birla and His father is a retired Rajasthan Sales officer. Om Birla has 6 brothers(including him) and three sisters, all are well settled in Kota. He was elected for vidhansabha first time in 2003 from Kota then was elected in 2009 vidhan sabha election from Kota South. He was again re-elected in 2013 rajasthan vidhan sabha election from Kota South Some of the positions held by him are:

Philanthropic Work

Om Birla is very popular among all age groups. Children are especially keen to meet him. Om Birla has contribute to all faces of social life but his major contribution and concern remains with needs of poor - food, medicines and cloths. Om Birla opened Bhojan shala known as "PRASADAM" (place where any one can go and have meal two times), a medicine bank to supply required medicines free of cost to poor and a clothes bank " vastralaya" for people living below poverty line. These three projects have been running for six years in Kota City; apart from this he has also organised blood donation camps.

Om Birla has contributed to society by his skills in cooperative sector. He is the first person to bring Kota Jila Holsale Upbhokta Bhandar Limited in PROFIT IN 1980's. He was a national president of cooperative sector forum, National Vice president of Bhartiya Yuva Morcha. He is the first persons who defeated two cabinet ministers of congress government in two assembly elections. His doors are open for all citizens. He has been recognised as devoted politician working towards the uplift of society.
