Olle Åberg
Olof Viktor "Olle" Åberg (24 January 1925 – 20 December 2013) was a Swedish middle distance runner.
He was born in Hofors, and in addition to the local club he represented Gefle IF.[1] With Gefle IF he participated in setting a world record in the 4 x 1500 metres relay in 1947 with 15:34.6 minutes. The team improved the record in 1949. Relay teams from Gefle also set world records in the 4 x 1 mile relay in 1948 and 1949. On 10 August 1952 Åberg set an individual world record, in the 1000 metres, when running in 2:21.4 minutes in Copenhagen.[2]
He participated in the 1500 metres at the 1952 Olympic Games, finishing seventh. His personal best time was 3:45.4 minutes.[1]
