Très.b
Très.b was formed in Testrup Hojskole in Denmark in 2004. After living together in Copenhagen, the band moved to Maastricht, the Netherlands. There they recorded their first EP Neon Chameleon (2006) and later their debut LP Scylla & Charybdis (2008), which was recorded by Radek Krzyżanowski (KAMP!).[4] Both records were self-released in the Netherlands. The Other Hand (2010) was Très.b's first official release under license of Pomaton EMI in Poland.[5] It was produced by Olivier Heim and Bartłomiej Kuźniak (Studio 333)[6] and mixed in New York by Victor van Vugt (P.J. Harvey, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode). The album was awarded the Fryderyk Award for "Best Debut of the Year."[7] Their second official release 40 Winks of Courage came out in May 2012. In August 2012, the album's second single entitled Let it Shine (sung by Olivier Heim) reached nr.10 on the Lista Przebojów (top 30) on Radio Trójka.[8] In January 2013, Très.b won the highly acclaimed Paszport Polityki award in the category Pop Music.[9] Très.b disbanded as of 2014, playing their final tour in December 2013.[10]
Solo
In August 2012, Olivier Heim released his debut solo-album entitled The Eternal Now under the name Anthony Chorale. The album was recorded by producer Michał Kupicz and features Karolina Rec on cello.[11] The self-released record is downloadable for free on Bandcamp.[12] In January 2013, Anthony Chorale released an EP entitled Ambitions of the Son.[13] Olivier Heim is joined by Karolina Rec on cello and zither and Thomas Pettit (Très.b) on percussion. Tobiasz Biliński features as backing vocalist on the track Riverside.[14] The album was released on vinyl by the label Zozaya Records.
Olivier's latest album "A Different Life" was released in November 2014 under his own name.[15] The new material was recorded, mixed and produced by Michał Kupicz in Warsaw, mastered in New York by Joe Lambert (Deerhunter, Toro Y Moi, The National) and released by Lado ABC and Zozaya Records.[16][17] The album has received very positive reviews,[18] with the first single "Ocean" reaching nr.6 in the top 20 "Lista Przebojów z Charakterem" on Polish National Radio RDC.[19] Ocean was also used in a documentary about the painter Kazimir Malevich, running as part of the temporary exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.[20]
