Olga Girya

Olga Girya (born 4 June 1991 in Langepas) is a Russian chess player with the rank of Woman Grand Master.

She won the European and World Youth Chess Championship (girls' section) in 2009.[1]

She competed in the Women's World Chess Championship 2012, but was eliminated in the second round.

In the 2013 Women's Grand Prix event in Geneva, she successfully defended a K v BNK ending against reigning Women's World Champion Anna Ushenina.

As of January 2014 she is competing in the FIDE Women's Grand Prix 2013–14. At the fourth tournament there, she secured her final Grandmaster norm.[2]
