Oldenburgia is a genus of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It contains four accepted species,[1] including the commonly cultivated species near- endangered Oldenburgia grandis (Thunb.) Baill. (=Oldenburgia arbuscula DC.), [2] [1] the petricolous Oldenburgia paradoxa Less. (type-species), Oldenburgia intermedia Bond (small distribution around Cape Town) and Oldenburgia papionum DC. Oldenburgia herbacea (L.) Roxb. is an unresolved name.[1]
Distribution: endemic to South Africa, southern parts of Western and Eastern Cape.[3]
