Old Hickory Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Jackson, Tennessee. Opened in 1967, it is anchored by J. C. Penney, Macy's, Sears, and Belk. The mall is managed by CBL & Associates Properties.

History

Old Hickory Mall opened in 1967. It was developed by Hewitt Pegues Tomlin, Jr. and his sister, Francess Tigrett.[2]

Around 1978, the formerly open-air mall was enclosed, and a new Kisber's department store was built behind the old one.[3]

In 1985, Richard E. Jacobs group acquired the mall.[4] By this point, the mall's anchors included Goldsmith's, J. C. Penney, Sears, and Kisber's. By 1996, Kisber's had become Belk.[5]

CBL & Associates Properties bought 21 malls from the Jacobs group in 2000, including Old Hickory.[6]

Abercrombie & Fitch opened a store in 2003, displacing the food court. As of 2013, however, there is a seating area and a handful of establishments to purchase food from.[7]

A year later, the Goldsmith's store became Macy's.[8]
