The Okha railway station belongs to Western Railway of Rajkot Division in India.

Geography

Okha Railway Station was one of the western most broad gauge Railway station in India. It serves the port of Okha. There were trains to different destinations in India like Mumbai, Gorakhpur, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Rameswaram.[1]

History

Jamnagar-Okha metre gauge line was opened for traffic in the year 1922 by Jamnagar & Dwaraka Railway.[2] Later Jamnagar & Dwaraka Railway was merged into Saurashtra Railway in April 1948.[3] Later it was undertaken by Western Railway. Gauge Conversion of Hapa-Okha section was later completed in 1984 by Indian Railways.[4]
