Oju is a local government area in Benue State, Nigeria.

The College of Education, Oju is located in Oju LGA. It is also the home to a popular Christian mission at Egga called Elim who are the administrators of an orphanage, the JAFE Montessori Primary and Secondary School, a prestigious school owned by Rev. Dr. Johnwhyte and Florence Ede. Oju local government have prominent sons and daughters both home and in the diaspora, to mention few, Prof Ode Ojowu,former Chairman National Economic Planning Commission and Chief Economic Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo and currently, the Pro-Chancellor Benue State University, Prof Adagba Okpaga, Prof, Ode Mike, Prof. Silas Okita, Prof Peter Agogo, Dr Andrew Ijwo,Hon.
